Krista and Dan's Intimate Slave Lake Wedding
Krista and Dan have been good friends for many years and I was so excited to have the opportunity to second shoot their wedding this summer in Slave Lake. By far the cutest edition to their big day was their sweet daughter Sawyer who even accompanied her mom down the aisle to Dan. I would be lying if I said I wasn't tearing up behind the lens. Their ceremony was beautifully intimate nestled in the woods on a bear trail at the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory, attended by their closest friends and family. The way the sunlight was filtering through the trees made for some stunning light flares which only made the moment feel that much more magical. Thankfully, these two snuck away from the party to catch the tail end of golden hour down on the lakeshore. What is not pictured was the swarms of mosquitoes that descended upon us the second we made it to the beach. Krista and Dan were absolute troopers, walking up and down the shore for photos all while being eaten alive. It made for some of my favourite shots from the day.
Congratulations Krista and Dan! I love you both very much and it was such a pleasure being part of your big day! - Marni
